Green Fig, Prosciutto, & Ricotta Pizza Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- Pizza Base of Choice
- Tomato Puree of choice
- Proscuitto / Parma Ham
- Ricotta
- White Hard Cheese ( Mozzarella / Parmesan)
- FruitLips Whole Green Figs
- Fresh Rocket / Beetroot / Spinach leaves for garnish
METHOD
( We used a gluten free pizza base, you can use a bakery bought pizza base or make your own with pizza dough recipe included.)
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Place pizza base on an oiled or lined baking tray.
- Spread base with tomato puree and then add ricotta cheese.
- Add prosciutto / parma ham ( this step can also be left for last and added on after pizza is baked.)
- Top with mozzarella
- Quarter your figs and reserve fig liquid. Arrange quartered figs in pattern above your mozzarella.
- Season with salt and and pepper and bake for 15 to 20 mins until base is golden and mozzarella is melted.
- Drizzle reserved fig syrup over pizza just before serving.
- Garnish with fresh garden leaves.
Pizza Dough Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Yeast
- ¼ Teaspoon Caster Sugar
- ¾ Cup Lukewarm Water
- 1½ Cups of All Purpose Flour
- ½ Teaspoon Fine Salt
METHOD
- Combine the yeast, sugar and water in a bowl. Set aside in a warm place for 10 minutes or until bubbles appear.
- Place the flour and salt in a bowl and make a well in the centre. Add the yeast mixture and stir until it comes together. Cover with a clean tea towel and set aside in a warm place for 20–30 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size
- Role out dough to preferred shape and thickness.
- Pre-bake dough for 10 mins
